Gennadiy "Gena" Milyukov
Sleuth, Traveler, Warrior, Author, Tutor
In his youth Gennadiy “Gena” Milyukov was known to the upper-class as a guard and “retriever” for his families’ broad craft and mercantile endeavors. The Milyukovs were not going to be taken for granted no matter what your station and sometimes that meant putting presser on nobles to pay up or give back their goods. This was especially true for the exquisite and highly coveted jeweled items crafted by Gena’s father. While apprenticing under his Uncle Misha, Gena’s doggedness, fairness and most importantly his discretion with those in power eventually lead to the noble houses hiring him. Gena sold his sleuthing services far and wide in the realm, finding lost heirlooms, resolving cases of blackmail, retrieving kidnap victims and in general fixing things for those with money and problems (some with more finality than others). After some time Gena published a serialized adventure/mystery loosely based on his own exploits, Hawk-eyed & Dogeared: The Case of the Raptor’s Tome. It became an instant hit and further exploits were periodically released. Gena eventually took a posting that landed him in the far North for many months. During this time he was able to draft a work of non-fiction, A Tsar’s Duel, a treatise on traits import for every young noble. This work was acclaimed high and low because it describe the virtuous characteristics needed for leadership while also addressing its more ruthless aspects as well, all described in the context of a fierce sword match. This work soon made Gena the go-to tutor for a series of up and coming nobles.
